Playing games from other countries is a fun way to learn more about a culture or just to play something that you haven’t already played 100 times before.
What Do We Do All Day has a great post on Queah, a Liberian strategy game. Use their printable board and objects from around the house as tokens. The board has squares and players attempt to capture the other player’s tokens by jumping them as in checkers.
It looks pretty easy to learn and fun to play, and might be a nice addition to game night or a unit study about African culture.
Get all the details and download the game board from What We Do All Day.
