The house spans just 45 square meters, developing within a layout constrained by thick load-bearing walls. This structural limitation has been turned into a design opportunity: the small size has guided an optimization process, creating a functional and essential space without sacrificing comfort and beauty.
The project’s mood board is inspired by the changing colors of Mediterranean vegetation and the light filtering through the olive trees, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The interiors reflect this connection with nature through the use of natural materials, neutral tones, and essential yet refined furnishings.
A Conscious Analysis of Space
The Olive and Capperi family, already on their second renovation, had a clear idea of how they wanted to live in their home. Their goal was not just to renovate but to rethink the space with a conscious approach, eliminating the superfluous and focusing on what truly matters for daily well-being.
In this context, every element has been carefully selected: multifunctional and custom-made furniture, the absence of storage units meant for accumulation, and the creation of small living environments that respond to real and everyday needs. The house thus becomes a place of reconnection with oneself, designed to be lived in intensely and without unnecessary distractions.
