I wrote a paper on a few Olson Kundig projects in college. Great little house.
Interesting story too; the architect (Jim Olson) built a treehouse of sorts first while still in college. After it was destroyed and he graduated, he built a simple single pavilion so his friends could visit. In a few years, with a girlfriend now he needed a small abode for two. They had a family and the number of separate pavilions in this vacation house of sorts started growing to half a dozen. In the early 2000s, he started connecting them and the house took shape then. He’s in his eighties now and semi-retired. The house followed him his whole life, you could make a movie about this.
