This is very well done!
Side rant: Okay, so I’ve always struggled with little columns when I do gingerbread of real buildings. Pretzels don’t seem to work for me, they don’t break consistently, and cutting them is difficult (used a miter box saw one year, that seemed to work the best).
I had limited success last year rolling out gingerbread in very long extrusions and then cutting it with a very sharp knife immediately after baking it (cutting raw gives you pinched ends) then throwing the cut pieces in a toaster oven to harden.
Anybody have a good solution for gingerbread columns?
