Tricontinental couple Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel are saying bonjour to Paris as they settle into their new mansion in the heart of the City of Light. The pair, who also own properties in his hometown of L.A. and her native Australia, scooped up the 10,000-square-foot home in May 2020, the New York Post reports, and have recently been seen getting to know their new neighborhood via trips to its designer boutiques.
The supermodel and the Snapchat founder, who married in 2017 and have two children together, purchased their new abode not long after Spiegel was granted honorary French citizenship by President Emmanuel Macron. The new acquisition set them back $30,358,000, and includes six bedrooms—two of which feature en suite dressing rooms—and five bathrooms, plus a library, a music room, and a wine cellar.
The stately home is located just off the river Seine and backs up to a 10,000-square-foot private park, with plenty of room for a swimming pool and a garden. Despite its impressive stature, however, Kerr and Spiegel will need to oversee major renovations across the home—which they’ll likely outfit with pieces from Kerr’s own Love. Joy. Bliss. furniture line.
In an interview with AD about the launch of her home decor line in 2019, Kerr shared that she’s no stranger to remodeling homes, having taken charge of designing all of her other residences, from her and Spiegel’s 7,000-square-foot Brentwood home to her longtime beachfront Malibu cottage to the vineyard estate the couple is reported to have purchased for about $5.8 million last summer in the Australian wine region of Hunter Valley.
“There are no rules” when it comes to her design aesthetic, Kerr told AD, adding, “It doesn’t matter the space that I’m in: I like to make it mine and personalized with specific things like that. In larger spaces, like my homes, I’m particular when it comes to the placement of books and photo frames and crystals. I love learning about feng shui and the flow of energy in the home.”
