The star of sitcoms like The King of Queens and Kevin Can Wait, actor Kevin James has purchased himself a new place to escape. His oceanfront six-bedroom, seven-and-a-half-bathroom estate is situated in the city of Delray Beach, Florida, and measures an impressive 18,906 square feet. The New York Post reports that the Grown Ups star shelled out $14 million for the home.
Aside from the main house, which stands three stories tall, the property also includes a one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest house. The interiors are pristine and white, with art-ready gallery walls and blond wood floors throughout (some rooms feature herringbone-patterned floors). On the ground level, the main living room boasts a wall of glass sliders that open onto a spacious covered patio. Elsewhere in the home, there is a rec room with a unique orange-topped pool table and a mini bar, plus a cavernous wine cellar.
The main bedroom suite, located on the top floor, boasts a modern fireplace, a sitting area, and two sets of French doors that lead out onto a balcony overlooking the water. The en suite bathroom is a spa-style affair, with white marble countertops, a modern deep-soaking tub, and a glass-enclosed steam shower. The other bathrooms are just as luxe, with one even boasting a deep-soaking tub set behind its own wall of glass. A pristine, angular pool dominates much of the backyard, with tall palm trees swaying in the breeze above. Direct beach access and an attached five-car garage round out the property’s offerings. Both Douglas Elliman’s Nicholas Malinosky, who represented the seller, and Jake Elkins with William Raveis, who represented James, declined to comment on the sale.
