One of my favorite styles of residential buildings are these 6 story buildings mainly found in the West Bronx and upper Manhattan in NYC. Built from the mid 1930s to early 1940s.

I especially like it when they have these sort of jagged facades that are not parallel with the sidewalk.

A surprising amount of detail considering these were built during the great depression. These were like a last hurrah of good NYC residential architecture, before the buildings resumed after WWII and were increasingly drab looking + catered to car owners.
I’m curious if these are found in any other cities, I’ve always found them to be distinctly NYC (Bronx in particular).
