Alexa Kempton has been appointed editor of Houses magazine.
Alexa has worked with Architecture Media, publisher of Houses, for more than seven years, with stints as the managing editor of Architecture Australia and editor of ArchitectureAU. She has previously worked at Phaidon Press in London and is a former editor of Inside magazine and AustralianDesignReview.com.
“With such extensive experience in architecture and design publishing, the next chapter of Houses is in very capable hands and we look forward to the insights and perspective she will bring to the magazine,” said Katelin Butler, editorial director Architecture Media.
In December 2020 Gemma Savio signed off as editor. After almost two years on Houses, she has embarked on the next stage of her career. “During her tenure Gemma made a substantial contribution to Australia’s residential architecture culture and we wish her all the best for her future endeavours,” Butler said.
