I have only ever knit a couple of pairs of shorty socks, because I’m convinced I don’t wear socks much when the weather is warm.
That’s completely untrue, though. I love socks all the time, and short socks are not only a great choice when the weather is warm, they’re also a great super fast project.
If you’ve never knit socks before, a pair of short socks is a great place to start, and these Flying Birds socks from Joji Locatelli are an especially fun option.
The little bit of pattern makes them interesting, but it’s just knits and purls so it’s perfect for a newer knitting.
The socks are available in three sizes and you can grab the pattern from Ravelry for $4.
