It didn’t take long for Dennis Schröder to make himself at home in his new position on the Los Angeles Lakers’ roster. The German-born NBA star and his wife, Ellen Ziolo, recently purchased a contemporary mansion in the San Fernando Valley, Dirt reports, just three months after Schröder was traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The $4.3 million property sits on about a third of an acre in the suburban neighborhood of Tarzana. It encompasses more than 8,400 square feet of living space spread across two structures. The main house holds six ensuite bedrooms, including a main suite featuring dual walk-in closets and two private balconies. There’s also a 10-seat home theater, a top-of-the-line chef’s kitchen, a glassed-in wine vault nestled underneath the main staircase, and a rooftop deck equipped with a grill and several seating and lounging areas.
The main residence’s massive open-plan living and dining space leads out to the sprawling backyard, which includes a swimming pool with built-in spa, a full outdoor kitchen, a covered patio space stretching along the entire back of the house, and—perhaps the biggest selling point for Schröder—a full-size basketball court. Across the pool from the main house is the two-story guesthouse, which offers another bedroom and bathroom, full kitchen, and home gym.
Schröder is undoubtedly feeling great about having a more permanent place to call home in L.A.: In January, SB Nation reported that he was “visibly relieved” to share at a press conference that his house hunting was coming to a close. “I found something, finally!” the 27-year-old announced at the time. “We’re in an Airbnb still. It still doesn’t feel like home, but in two or three weeks, I’m going to be settled. Then things get easier.”
