The first week in March is often celebrated as Seuss Week, and March 2 is Read Across America Day in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday.
It’s a great time to pull out some of his books and pair them with activities, whether you and the kids are at home or in a classroom.
Check out this pairing of Seuss books and activities from We Are Teachers to get you started. Make oobleck as you read Bartholomew and the Oobleck, make a turtle craft for Yertle the Turtle, measure your feet with The Foot Book and more.
These ideas are sure to get you thinking of other activities you can do around the books, or keep it simple with these projects.
I’d love to hear what activities you do to celebrate Seuss!
