Baby blankets are one of my favorite things to knit for new little ones because it seems like they are always needed and used, and they don’t have to fit, since babies come in such a range of sizes.
Jay from Berroco is a great basic baby blanket knitting pattern to keep in your arsenal. It’s knit corner to corner, which makes it a little more fun, and has alternating stripes of Stockinette and Moss Stitch to add interest to this solid color project.
It uses chunky yarn, which is great, too, so you’ll be sure to have it finished before the kiddo you’re making it for is in elementary school.
