The latest product offering from Clarence House and AD100 designer Michelle Nussbaumer has little to do with interiors. Instead, the two parties have collaborated on a swimwear capsule. Because after all, warmer days should be on the horizon.

Maker&Son Taps Jim Hardy to Spearhead U.S. Expansion
With a Stateside expansion plan underway, British furniture house Maker&Son has named Jim Hardy as its U.S. president. The company, which has seen 300% year-over-year growth since launching in 2018, will be opening a showroom in New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood this month, followed by the introduction of 12 mobile showrooms set to hit the road in April. Overseeing the rollout will be Hardy, who spent more than two decades at Ralph Lauren, where he eventually served as senior vice president; he was most recently the interim president at One Kings Lane.
“As we see sustainability and craftsmanship becoming increasingly important in the interiors industry, I look forward to leading a team who have these values deeply instilled in their ethos and products,” Hardy tells AD PRO. “After spending decades spearheading aggressive retail expansion both here and in the U.K., I’m thrilled to be taking on this new challenge with Maker&Son.”

The Colony Hotel Palm Beach is known for its decor. But now it has an additional asset, in the form of the Aerin Villa Jasmine. Suffolk CCE Spring Gardening School Gets Ready to Take Flight
Landscape architects may be interested to know that the Suffolk CCE Spring Gardening School, which is run in part in conjunction with Cornell University, is set to kick off new programming this weekend; the launch, fittingly, is timed to coincide with the first day of spring. One garden luminary involved is naturalist Edwina von Gal. “[The school] is giving me the chance to partner with Doug Tallamy, who has the science and methods to turn the worldwide bird decline around,” Von Gal says to AD PRO of her intended talk. “Doug and I are aiming to do just that with our new initiative Two Thirds for the Birds. We can all make a difference to save the earth, and the plants and animals that inhabit it.”
