Fletcher Design has recently appointed James Pryor to head of sales. The company notes that James has a wealth of knowledge in both local and international brands, with brand training in Stockholm, Copenhagen and Milan, and 14 years building experience and relationships across New Zealand and Australian design industries. He will be responsible for leading and driving the strategic growth of Fletcher Design throughout New Zealand, the business reports.
“I’m very excited to represent one of New Zealand’s best design brands,” James says. “Fletcher’s pieces are iconic but also honest and very considered. I love that we are not just ‘New Zealand-assembled’ – we make every element of our products here, often just down the road. Our carbon footprint is small. Being a local design and manufacturer means we can respond quickly and relevantly to our clients’ challenges, which is very refreshing”
Founder Fletcher Vaughan says: “Since rebranding the business in 2018 we’ve been on a steady growth trajectory, and we’re excited to see this continue with James now on board. Fletcher Design is committed to original design and creative excellence so it’s critical that all our team are aligned on this. James comes to us with some great credentials, he’s had a lot of experience with premium brands and is well regarded in our community; he’s a brilliant fit for our team, both culturally and professionally”.
