Ask any DIYer what one of the best and most versatile craft mediums is on earth…”Mod Podge” we all shout! If you don’t know, Mod Podge is a decoupage medium that is used to adhere one material to something else. Kind of like glue, but it is its own special thing that allows crazy dreams to become a reality! It really is the most amazing stuff. You can do SO MANY different things with it–from sealing furniture to paper crafts to wall art projects. It is a staple in every good crafter’s arsenal and we all have at least a few Mod Podge projects in our archives!

I am always looking for new and different ways to use the craft supplies I already have, and this list of Mod Podge projects does not disappoint. When I was making my decoupaged mirror , it reminded me of how much I love this type of project. I have pulled together my favorites out there–everything from upcycling old furniture, to creating small giftable treasures. Mod Podge is also one of the best ways to create really awesome budget decor ideas that give a ton of bang without busting the budget! DIY Mod Podge Projects

Mirror Decoupaged with Napkins by Kaleidoscope Living. This formerly boring mirror was left behind by the former owners of our current house , and I held onto it because the size and scale was so great! When we started talking about giving our upstairs hallway and landing a big makeover, I knew just the thing to start with. With these colorful paper napkins and a bottle of Mod Podge, I totally changed the look of the mirror and it is my style now!

Decoupage Desk Makeover from HGTV Magazine. Jodi Kahn used washi tape and decoupage to give this old desk an amazingly awesome new life and look! The stripes and bright base are so fun.

IKEA Kids Table and Chairs Makeover by Kaleidoscope Living. This simple decoupage project transformed this basic IKEA kid’s set and gave it a much more sophisticated look!

Upholstered” Chair by Kaleidoscope Living. One of my most popular projects ever, it was so simple to transform a wood chair into a fun and funky desk chair using a beautiful fabric.

Coiled Magazine Page Dish With Lid by Saved by Love Creations. Johnnie used magazine strips, hot glue and patience to make this fun dish! She sealed it with mod podge and it is the perfect little budget-friendly gift! If you didn’t want to make a top it would make a cute little pot or trinket bowl.

Add Color and Pattern to A Dresser from Painted by Kayla Payne. This already gorgeous piece got a major upgrade with beautiful paper. This quick and easy tutorial shows exactly how to achieve this look with mod podge!

Crepe Paper Orange Tree by Lia Griffith. This project is astounding! I have a faux orange branch that is one of my favorite pieces of decor–it brings the perfect pop of color! This tutorial shows you how to create your own orange tree with crepe paper and Mod Podge.

DIY Mod Podge Fabric Rug by Damask Love. Create your own rug using your favorite fabric and a drop cloth with this high-impact, low-cost project. Finishing it with a few coats of poly varnish makes this floor covering durable and easy to clean!
