A new cancer treatment facility for the Royal Darwin Hospital has received the highest accolade at the Australian Institute of Architects 2022 Northern Territory Awards.
The RDH Cyclotron by DKJ Project Architecture, which produces radioactive isotopes that power the PET scanners for cancer diagnosis, received the Tracy Memorial Award and the Reverend John Flynn Award for Public Architecture.
Elsewhere in the awards, the refurbishment of a historic house at the RAAF base, by Hames Sharley, received an award for Heritage Architecture as well as the People’s Choice Awards.
