A $180 million office tower in Perth’s City Link Precinct has received approval from DevelopmentWA after plans were submitted late last year.
Designed by Architectus, the 27-storey tower will be a commercial space at 580 Wellington Street, designed with a careful balance of context and scale as a “commercial building in harmony with the city vision”.
According to Architectus, tower’s western is inspired by the eroded natural landscape surrounding Perth.
The elemental theme has been incorporated into the design of the ground plane, with a landscaped public plaza subtly enveloping the podium level, integrating alfresco cafe and restaurant areas into the commercial lobby entrance.
The building will feature 20 floors of office space, as well as three levels of co-working and conference spaces, wellness amenities, food and beverage tenancies and a basement level car park.
Incorporating quality materials and refined spaces, Architectus said it intended the building to be “simple and contemporary” in its design as well as a future-forward workplace solution that is “authentic to place” within the developing precinct.
The project resides in the $5.2 billion Perth City Link urban renewal development, which will reconnect the CBD with Northbridge.
