**This post is sponsored by Walmart. All opinions are my own. We are so excited about our new bedroom. **
When we built our forever home, I was adamant that our kids share rooms. I know not everyone might agree, but I think every kid should share a room at least once because they learn so many life skills. Our twin girls share a room, and our 2 boys, but the last 2 little ones are a boy AND a girl. I know them sharing a room won’t last long, but while they’re little, we’re loving it. They are best friends and get along so well.
My toddler finally outgrew his crib, and it was time to move up to a REAL bed and do a little bedroom refresh.
Naturally, I turned to my favorite one stop shop for all things HOME – Walmart!
Have you shopped Walmart’s home lines lately?
Talk about WOW factor!
They have so many awesome items to choose from and they’re all at awesome price points.
From coastal styles, to farmhouse decor, there really is something that meets every design style.
Plus, so many things ship in 2 days and ship free when you spend $35+!
One specific line I’ve been drawn to is the Gap Home line.
It’s got a great casual vibe that really fits our kid-packed lifestyle!
Are you ready to see the sweet room we put together for my 2 and 6 year old?
They love it so much, and so do I!
I wanted to keep it simple, classic and leave them lots of room to play, and I think it’s just perfect for them.
We didn’t want to do a COMPLETE overhaul, as we had many things that already worked, but I did purchase some new items!
1. These awesome metal beds
I purchased these based on the great reviews! I loved the crisp white and thought they’d work perfectly for a boy or girl. I was very impressed with the quality. They are sturdy and only took a short time to put together. I can’t stand when beds (or any furniture at that) have 50 million pieces and take hours to put together. Ain’t nobody got time for that!!!
I love the little details on the head and footboard. It almost gives them a vintage vibe!
Side note: I also needed a new mattress, so I snagged this one.
I was honestly surprised how great it was considering the low price point.
2. These super soft Gap Home sheets
These sheets are so, so soft! They’re almost like your favorite worn in, comfy tshirt and my kids were snuggling in in no time!
They also wash super well, which was something I was concerned about.
They have lots of prints in this line, but I went with a classic stripe in pink and blue.
3. This gorgeous, washed denim comforter set
I fell in love with these comforter sets. They’re soft and have this “California” casual, cool vibe. They feel almost like a soft chambray and have a slightly faded look that just pairs well with anything. I will add, this set is naturally wrinklie. It totally adds to the “natural” look.
Did I mention it’s made with 100% organic cotton, making it so soft?
It’s fantastic!
I paired the set with one throw pillow.
Usually, I’m a hoarder of throw pillows, but I wanted to keep it simple for the littles as they learn to make their own beds. This one is just perfect. I love the tassels!
I also love how it’s all the same color palette, but in several different prints.
4. These Storage baskets
I wanted some extra storage for books. My kids always lay in bed and read, so these baskets seemed perfect for a bedside containers.
I think the woven design is so pretty!
Plus, the easy access has them reaching for their books more which makes this mama extra happy!
5. These blackout curtains
Full disclosure, I ordered the wrong size! I think they need to be longer, but I didn’t want to wait to tell you about them because I’m afraid they’ll sell out!
They look simple, but when you get up close, these slightly off white curtains have little black “specks”, giving them an almost linen appearance. They’re SO pretty, and casual, and fit awesome with this bedding!
They’re also REALLY great at blocking out the sunlight, which means well rested kids!
I’m so in love with this Gap Home line! Walmart hit another home run for sure!
I think it’s great quality, at great price points, and high style.
If you’re looking for a bedroom refresh, be sure you check it out.
(PS They have items for other rooms too. I love their shower curtains!)
In the meantime, we’ll be here getting comfortable and making lots of memories together in this bedroom!
Happy decorating!
