September 11, 2022 – In case you haven’t been able to visit the Brooklyn Museum’s “Figures of Speech” exhibit honoring Virgil Abloh’s life and career, Nordstrom is here to help you experience the late designer’s work through a curated retail extension. Teaming up with Virgil’s estate, the shopping edit includes several of Abloh’s flagship projects, including Off-White, Church & State merchandise from the FOS exhibition, and more. Plus, Nordstrom will be supporting the Fashion Scholarship Fund’s Virgil Abloh “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund through direct donations for selected scholars and mentorship programs.
September 12, 2022 – If you’re on the hunt for some new fall decor, look no further than the new ceramics that just dropped at Houseplant last month. Aptly named By Seth (all designs are by Seth Rogen himself), the collection consists of a new version of the cofounder’s best-selling ashtray, a ripple effect stoneware vase, and this handsome, textured planter that’s ideal for indoor or outdoor greenery.
September 15, 2022 – New wall decor from designer Sarah Sherman Samuel and Lulu and Georgia launched in August, and we think it’s just the thing to dress up any room in your space. Inspired by Sarah’s lifelong connection to nature and affinity for the beach, each style feels playful but still sophisticated—like this ocean-waves-esque ripple-frame mirror made from solid oak.
September 15, 2022 – Last month, Austin-based design studio Yucca Stuff landed at Design Within Reach in the form of two stylish mirrors: the Salado and the Comal. Adorned with jewel-like solid brass hardware and with an interesting floating effect, the pieces, along with the partnership, help to celebrate Yucca Stuff’s dedication to the production of fine contemporary furniture while also highlighting the unique material palette of central Texas.
September 17, 2022 – With fall and winter right around the corner, Sidia’s new hand care system is sure to be a staple in your beauty routine. Filled with all natural, plant-based ingredients like rambutan peel extract, perlite, and orange peel oil—plus scented with alluring notes of bergamot and vetiver—this cleansing exfoliant and nongreasy hydrating serum duo is designed for relaxation and delivering soothing nourishment to tired skin.
September 18, 2022 – A few weeks ago, Graf Lantz released a collection of eye-catching totes with Detroit-based artist Akea Brionne, and we think they’re the perfect items to revamp your fall wardrobe. With four pieces that fuse Akea’s personal style with GL’s signature canvas, purchases will also go toward supporting the nonprofit organization The Iris Project, a collective dedicated to supporting various artists and their disciplines.
September 19, 2022 – Sipping tea on a brisk autumn afternoon from Feldspar’s newest collection is definitely our vibe for fall. Stocked exclusively at MatchesFashion, the stylish china makers have unveiled a charming assortment of white china finished with gilded accents. While there’s everything from bowls, plates, and even vases to choose from, our heart is set on this delicate teapot and the dainty matching cups from the line.
September 23, 2022 – And speaking of tea, Caraway’s new kettle is perfect for brewing hot matcha or soothing cups of chamomile. Available in the brand’s classic colorways like neutral navy and bright marigold, your new favorite stovetop accessory is made with nontoxic stainless steel to keep water clean and free of harmful chemicals. We’ll sip to that!
September 24, 2022 – If fall means a wall refresh for your space, the latest releases from Brooklyn-based textile brand Aelfie and the wall-covering experts WallPops should help. Marrying Aelfie’s eclectic use of color and patterns with the ease of WallPops’ peel-and-stick papers, these vibrant prints are designed to bring life into any space. We’re particularly fond of this Kiki motif, which features bold geometric shapes and fun pastels.
September 24, 2022 – Infinite is a new name in the design space that’s caught our eye recently. Founded by Alyssa Coscarelli, the brand is set to be a launchpad for emerging indie brands, and its latest homer decor collaborations have us excited for what’s to come. While it looks like all the patterned lamps made by Blo_Oberry are sold out, we think Harem Modern’s grassy-looking shag rugs are the perfect way to add a faux-nature element to your home.
September 25, 2022 – A24’s new Nalgene bottle was another standout release for us last month (though we were equally delighted by the brand’s cheeky Florida state travel guide as well). Perfect for the film lover who’s looking to stay hydrated, the jug is ideally sized for anyone who’s on the go and features a cheerful “ATwenty Four” graphic that was designed and hand painted by Slovenian artist Nejc Prah (who’s collaborated with artists like Frank Ocean!).
September 25, 2022 – Last week one of our favorite brands, Parachute, added rugs to their lineup of minimalist, elegant home essentials. Handwoven in India and Fair Trade Certified, each of the seven patterned designs in the collection is a natural choice if you’re looking to add some subtle interest to your floors. Personally, we’d go for the checkered wool rug, which feels like a not-too-bold way to experiment with the trendy pattern.
September 25, 2022 – Interior Define is out to customize your entire space with its highly anticipated bedroom collection. Featuring an assortment of eight customizable bed frames—like this dreamy curved headboard design—as well as bedside tables, dressers, and more, we think it’s never been easier to build a completely personalized space for you to unwind after a long day.
September 31, 2022 – Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so why not go all out with this charming new pan from Takashi Murakami? Featuring a raised outline of the artist’s famous flower motif (so that every pancake you flip will be emblazoned with the smiling icon), the cheerful cookware is available in two styles: A round version with a yellow handle as well as a pixelated flower with a blue handle (based on Murakami’s first NFT project).
