Gatherings of people — family or otherwise — are not always conducive to getting a lot of knitting done. If you have to pay attention to your pattern you can miss out on some of the fun of being with people IRL (that’s in real life).
So Kacey Herlihy designed the IRL shawl, designed to work with any gauge yarn. It’s a simple triangle shawl with occasional rows of eyelets, but in general it’s easy enough that you don’t have to pay a lot of attention to what you’re doing so you can enjoy being around other people while you work.
It’s easily adjustable to whatever size you want to make it, too, so you can just keep knitting through all the football, holiday movies or whatever else is going on around you.
Grab the pattern from Ravelry.
