Priced at $60,000 a month, the Tampa mansion Tom Brady and his family leased for most of his three years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is up for rent again, according to the Post. After an impressive twenty-three years as one of the NFL’s most respected quarterbacks, the seven-time Super Bowl winner made his final retirement announcement on February 1, exactly one year after he made his first retirement announcement but then rescinded forty days later.
The 6,500-square-foot home was put up for sale during the summer of 2022, a few months before Brady’s divorce from his supermodel ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, was made public. With a starting price tag of $14 million, there were no takers for the 2019-build, even after a $1.5 million discount brought the price to $12.5 million.
The gorgeous contemporary manse comes with six bedrooms and six bathrooms. Both the primary bedroom and bathroom boast thirteen-foot floor-to-ceiling windows which take full advantage of the incredible bay view just outside. On the ground floor, a kitchen with a marble-top island shares the floor of an open concept living area with space for dining and a living room. One one end of the open room is a second lounge area that sits atop a platform accessed by a short flight of stairs and on the other is a balcony that leads to a pool with a spa, a grassy lawn, and a small dock.
When the Bradys first moved to Tampa, they initially rented Derek Jeter’s gargantuan 30,000-square-foot waterfront mansion, but soon moved because of privacy issues. “I forgot people could drive up to your house. Here they can pull right up to the back of the house,” Brady told shock-jock Howard Stern about the waterfront property.
Bündchen purchased a modest Surfside, Miami, cottage in February 2022 where she camped out while divorce proceedings were underway. By November, she had upgraded to an $11.5 million mansion right across the water from the Indian Creek Island property on which the couple were building a house from the ground up together, but which seems to have gone to Brady in the divorce.
