The Interior Awards celebrated its 12th year of honouring New Zealand’s best interiors at St Matthew-in-the-City on Thursday 29 June 2023, with over 390 guests from across the architecture and interior design community.
The night was hosted by emcees Kura Forrester and Brynley Stent, and hospitality was provided by Thomson Whisky, fantastic wines from Central Otago’s Rockburn Wines, and waters from San Pelligrino and Acqua Panna.
Motion graphic artists Mulk created a spectacular artwork that was projection-mapped onto the neo-Gothic interior of the 120-year-old church.
A big thank you to Objectspace who kindly hosted our finalist presentations this year and a massive thanks to our jury — Jon Rennie (Athfield Architects), Tessa Pawson (Peddlethorp), Scott Compton (Warren and Mahoney), Amber Ruckes (Waipapa Taumata Rau University of Auckland), convenor Amanda Harkness (Architecture NZ) and special guest judge for the new Community Impact Award, Helen Robinson (Manutaki Auckland City Missioner).
