This Beaux art train station in Grafton, West Virginia was built in 1911-1912, but has been empty for decades. It is currently a restoration project of the Vandalia Heritage Foundation who are also working to restore the associated Willard Hotel next door to the station. The building is currently closed to the public, but it has very large glass doors that let you see much of the interior. Should you ever find yourself in the vicinity of Grafton, WV. it’s worth checking out. There is ample free street parking at the site, and there are many other excellent, if run down, buildings in the town. submitted by /u/KnudsonRegime |
