How adorable are all these cute critters jumping in the pile of Fall leaves? The stamps are from Trinity and I spotted this card on Lauren Taylor Made’s Scrapbook.com gallery.
Being a big fan of nature I love Autumn, seeing the leaves change, watching the squirrels gathering nuts for winter and the birds eating the new berries. Capturing those elements on cards is one of my favorite, and just by adding a little bird or animal to Fall themes it adds such a special little extra touch to handmade cards. I’ve gathered a bountiful amount of Autumn Cards that feature birds and animals to help inspired you.

Lynnea used a large layering stamp for the background of this cute shaker card. She used different ink colors for the leaves and acorns, stamping the outlines in black. She added a stamped squirrel and die cut sentiment over top of the acetate for the focal points of the card. Learn more over on the LDRS blog.
I love the non-traditional pink that Michele used on this super cute Fall hedgehog slimline card. He looks so cozy in his scarf, drinking a latte on an apple! I came across this card on the Whimsy Stamps Instagram page.
This card just screams Autumn with the amazing Acorn shaped card base, stamped pile of pumpkins with leaves and the cute fox peeking out! Tina added the sentiment in a really clever way by stamping it on a tag and tying it to the stem. Visit the Sunny Studio’s blog for all the details.
Here’s another adorable hedgehog, this time created with dies. I love the ink blending on the leaves and sentiments in soft Autumn colors, so sweet! I spotted this design on Carly Tee’s gallery at Scrapbook.com.
If you need to create some quick and easy cards for Fall try pre-printed dies and pattern papers like these wonderful cards from Anya. The grid style backgrounds add some extra interest and pattern to the designs. These two beauties were shared on the Echo Park Instagram page.
If you know someone with an Autumn birthday create their card with a Fall theme like this one from Jordanna. Two cute foxes are celebrating in the forest with a cake surrounded by trees and falling leaves. Watch her video tutorial over on the Heffy Doodle blog.
Die cut circles with ink blended backgrounds create places for several little scenes on this sweet card from Hanh. The little falling leaves helps draw the eye around and pull the card design together. Visit the My Favorite Things blog for a closer look.
Christy created ana amazing scene with lots of stamped critters gathering items for Fall, all colored with Copic markers. Her background was colored with watercolors and die cut using nesting deckle dies for a rustic edge. Check out her video tutorial on the Hello Bluebird blog.
A technique I really enjoy is coloring stamped images with colored pencils on Kraft cardstock, the pencils really stand out against the darker background. Lydia used this idea for a stunning card with a fox in a woodland scene. This would make such a great masculine card! Visit the Hero Arts blog for a video tutorial.
Mindy combined several techniques like stamping, die cutting and stenciling for this wonderful Fall scene card. Notice all the little details she added like woodgrain on the trees, white highlights on the stamping with gel pen and paint splatters over the stenciled background. You can check out her how to video on the Lawn Fawn blog.
This clean and simple Fall card design has super cute stamped animals gathering around a tree stump with a bounty of food. This card is perfect for Thanksgiving or a general Thank You card. Take a closer peek on the Pink and Main blog.
I hope you have time to get out and enjoy all the joys that Autumn has to offer! When you return home create some cards with Fall themes and don’t forget to add some cute birds and animals to them!
