I should know by now that there are cross stitch designs (as well as crochet patterns, and usually lots of other crafts as well) to go with any fandom you can think of, but with it being Halloween time I decided to look for Walking Dead cross stitch patterns and, naturally, I was not disappointed.
I’ll admit to not making it through the whole series, though my husband watched not only the full original series, but also all of Fear the Walking Dead. Whether you’re a fan of the zombie genre or know someone who is, you’re sure to enjoy these Walking Dead cross stitch patterns.
Let’s start with a look at the early cast, when times were, maybe not simpler, but at least the body count of humans was a little lower. This cross stitch cast includes baby Judith and Hershel, among others, which dates it pretty well, but if you’re a fan of the early series you can grab this pattern from Pixels in Stitches on Etsy.
Creatively Stitching has a cross stitch pattern that explains why the humans have to take a stand against the zombies, along with some colorful arms shooting out of the ground (did that ever happen in the show?) and some weapons of zombie (and human) destruction. You can also find this one on Etsy. It measures 150 by 125 stitches.
If Negan is your favorite, you might want to stitch this ode to Lucille from Etsy seller Satirical Stitching. It looks like it uses three colors and the designer says it fits nicely in a 4 by 6 inch frame.
And if you’re looking for an immense project for a Walking Dead superfan, consider this movie poster style design from Zanna Cross Stitch on Etsy. This stunner is definitely for cross stitches with a lot of experience. It is 330 by 400 stitches and it’s solid stitching, using 54 different colors. When finished it will be 23.4 by 28.4 inches if worked on 14-count fabric. And well worth all that work for someone who really loved the show! (They have other options in a similar style if you want to go looking.)
