This beautiful layout from Andrea has lots of texture and depth using chipboard frames and embellishments and stitching down the strips of pattern papers. She breaks down how she put it all together on the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog.
With Mother’s Day soon approaching here in the US I thought it would be a nice time to focus on women. So whether you’re scrapbooking about your Mom, best gal pals, female family members or yourself let’s take a look at some wonderful layout inspiration that features some of the women in our lives.
Leilani used labels to journal 5 current happenings with herself along with a current photo, a puffy sticker title and retro inspired elements. I spotted her idea on the Elle’s Studio Instagram page.
This sweet pocket page documents Nicole and her Mom planting flowers from her Dad’s garden. She’s included a photo, embellished journaling section and decorative tag in her 3 pocket layout. Take a closer look over on The Cherry on Top blog.
This stunning layout from Audrey has striped floral pattern paper that she has added colorful stitching in between each stripe. At the end of each line she’s also added pretty rolled paper flowers that match each color for an amazing 3D effect. Take a closer look at the Paige Taylor Evans blog.
Capture your artistic side with a new collection from Vicki Boutin. Nathalie designed this layout with cool watercolor paint and splatter for the background adding lots of art supply embellishments. I came across this on her Tachita55 Instagram page.
This fun project is actually a 3D photo frame but could be adjusted to be a page layout. Kerstin used a photo of herself, adding many matts made from different pattern papers to create the layered outer frame. She added acetate that can open to help prop it up and decorated the photo and frame with chipboard sentiments and gems. Learn more about this gift made for her husband on the Pinkfresh Studio blog.
If you’re traveling solo or heading out on a girls road trip this layout is perfect. Notice how Tarrah used mostly just the top 3rd of the page, adding a wide border with the photo above surrounded by travel themed chipboard elements for an interesting balance. There’s also stitching and splatter for extra texture. Learn more at the Cocoa Vanilla blog.
Show off your crafty side in your traveler’s notebook. These pages have hand carved stamped elements on one side and a stack of three photos with more stamping on the other for a quick and easy layout. I spotted this on the dearlydee Instagram page.
This stunning floral page features lots of detailed fussy cut flowers and wow, does that take time, but the results are so worth it! Gold foiled sentiments, ephemera and splatters of white gesso add even more embellishments. Learn how Angela put it all together over on the Spellbinders blog.
This is such a HAPPY layout with lots of fun mixed media techniques. There’s stenciling, stamping, paper distressing, a large die cut title and loads of pretty 3D flowers. Nicole is sharing her process video over on the My Creative Scrapbook blog.
This pretty in pink layout is so feminine with flowers and butterflies but there’s also harder elements to add balance like metal looking labels and clips and black sheet music for a wonderful hard and soft design. Take a closer look on the My Creative Corner blog.
Kathleen used lots of lovely stickers to celebrate her best scrappy friend. I love the peach and green color palette and the fun surprise of hidden journaling that can be pulled out from behind the photo. Learn more at the Scattered Confetti blog.
I hope you’ve found some great ideas to scrap all the wonderful women in your life!
