Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: When I first looked at the studio, I was attracted to the large windows and the tall ceiling. So much light comes in throughout day, and it’s so airy and clean. I always liked living in spaces with no walls because I get to see everything and get inspired by small details and imperfections in the place. Also moving during the pandemic made me appreciate my space even more, and working from home made it easier for me to decorate. Overall, my little space is pretty dope, and the people in my neighborhood are as well.
I’m an artist by trade (photography), yet my home represents my calm minimalist personality. There’s some elements of my artistry all over, but I purposely didn’t add a lot of pictures on my wall. I incorporated earth tones, natural woods, a lot of white, and pops of color to highlight my calm yet colorful personality.
Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: A male’s feminine touch!
What is your favorite room and why? Well, since it’s a studio the entire room. LOL! I really enjoy certain spaces at various times throughout the day. My green sofa in the morning when I’m having my morning tea or coffee, my IKEA NORDEN table in the afternoon that doubles as my work and dining table, and the kitchen because I like to cook all the time.
What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? The last item was gifted to me by my cousin was my IKEA NORDEN table. I love everything about this table! The fact that it expands and the storage is a major plus.
Any advice for creating a home you love? Enjoy the process, and don’t rush to complete the space. Also, find inspiration anywhere that your heart leads you to.
