Gorgeous But Cheap Flooring Ideas

Need to update your outdated floor on a tight budget? These cheap flooring ideas are budget-friendly, but high on style. Check out these affordable ways to update old tile, wood, vinyl and linoleum floors.

Y’all, we all know what one of the most expensive things to makeover in your home is your floors. Many of us have been left wondering if there even such a thing as cheap (as in inexpensive, not as in unattractive, lol) flooring ideas. Hardwood, tile, laminate hardwood…there are lots of choices, and most come with a seriously hefty price tag.

When we moved into our old house, all of our floors needed a completeoverhaul. I have ALWAYS loved hardwood, but it was completely out of our price range. So we went with laminate, and we couldn’t be happier. Read about that here in our downstairs and upstairs. We could have installed new laminate floors throughout our entire house, but instead, I was inspired to save our budget and get creative.

I looked around and found some cheap flooring ideas to use on the horribly damaged bamboo floors in our kitchen and dining room, as well as the vinyl in our laundry room. We painted our wood kitchen floor and our vinyl laundry room floors and couldn’t be happier with the results. Painting those floors was our perfect fix, but there are so many GORGEOUS, but cheap, flooring ideas out there that you are sure to find one here that is perfect for your home! (Update: You can see what our totally renovated kitchen looks like now!)

In our new laundry room, the tile floor was NOT my favorite. I was so excited to discover these awesome vinyl tile stickers from Mirth Studio. They allowed us to totally update our outdated tile floors without any sort of demo or hard work. And they were far more affordable than entirely new flooring! You can read all about the entire makeover here.
